Advanced Cars
As much as I'd like to see extensive mass transit system integrated into our landscape, the truth is that America is built around the automobile and it will be a long time before that changes. The truth is - I'm also an incurable car nut. Unlike most car buffs, I've always had a fascination with energy efficient cars (go figure!). Here is my growing collection of dream cars. Electric Vehicles
Electric Vehicles (EVs) are relatively simple, quiet, clean and available
today. And if you charge them with solar power they are truely zero emmission
vehicles. Check what's available in western NY.
BioDiesel
Here is an enticing scenario - one that is top on our list for a clean,
renewable, long-range vehicle. The vehicles are available, the fuel you will
probably have to make on your own using used fryer grease from your local
fast food restaurant. I'm told there are over 600 biodiesel stations in Germany.
I'm hoping it will catch on soon here.

Fuel Cells
Fuel Cells are often talked of as a power source. The truth is, they are
energy conversion devises - much as batteries are. The point is that you
also have to talk about the source of fuel. Will it be the same old non-renewable
fossil fuels, or will we build the infrastructure for a renewable fuel such
as Hydrogen?
