Noting that transportation shares many of the same energy and environmental dilemmas with our homes, I've been working for years to find good solutions. Most recently I've been making Biodiesel (for a few years now) out of used fryer grease from area restaurants. Its a cleaner burning, domestic, renewable fuel made from a waste stream. It burns quite nicely in my unmodified, 40+ MPG Volkswagen diesels. My processor is of the Appleseed design - an open source plan intended to be spread across the land, much like Johnny did with Appleseeds.
